Cocktails and juices for immunity – why should we reach for them?
Decrease in immunity is an extremely common problem which sometimes results from diseases, infections, drug treatments (e.g. antibiotics), but more and more often it is the result of nothing else but an unhealthy lifestyle. Immunodeficiency may be influenced not only by a diet low in valuable nutrients or the use of stimulants, but also by lack of exercise, too infrequent access to fresh air, overtiredness and life in constant stress.
A simple and effective way to strengthen the body is to introduce into the diet juices and cocktails made of vegetables, fruit and herbs, which show properties stimulating the immune system. It is worth knowing, that the liquid concoctions constitute the essence of valuable substances present in the given raw materials (vitamins, minerals, enzymes, flavonoids, sulphur compounds, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial substances). Moreover, juices and cocktails are very efficiently absorbed in the digestive tract, and the ingredients they contain can be fully assimilated by the body.
Cocktails and juices for immunity are also favoured by the convenience of application. Drinking a cup of juice from raw beetroot, a portion of juice from nettle, or a glass of cocktail from celery, broccoli and spinach, is a much easier task than eating these raw materials.
