Skinoren composition and action
Skinoren is available in three variants:
- Skinoren Cream (used to treat acne vulgaris and hyperpigmentation associated with acne or not),
- Skinoren Gel (used to treat papulopustular acne),
- Skinoren Rosacea (used to treat rosacea ).
Each of these variants is based on the same active ingredient – azelaic acid. This is an organic chemical compound belonging to the group of dicarboxylic acids. It shows antibacterial effects, normalizes sebaceous glands function, exfoliates and regulates epidermis keratinization processes. Azelaic acid also influences melanocytes, reduces their activity and prevents pigmentation spots.
Skinoren effects
Skinoren treatment can help in case of hyperpigmentation, rosacea and acne vulgaris of moderate or low intensity. However, in case of advanced acne changes, this medicine may not be sufficient support.
Regular rubbing Skinoren causes: reduction of sebaceous gland activity, and thus decreases sebum production, normalization of keratinization processes, faster and easier exfoliation of dead epidermis, inhibition of the development of bacteria responsible for acne. The effect of Skinoren is also partial or full reduction of the formation of new blackheads and pimples, reduction of discoloration, even skin tone.
Skinoren can be a great help in fighting acne, however, the final effects of the treatment depend on the intensity of the problem, individual reaction of the skin to azelaic acid (sometimes an allergy to this component occurs), as well as the causes of acne. The success or lack thereof of the treatment may also depend on the diet applied at the same time and the level of toxins delivered to the body e.g. with stimulants, junk food etc.
In order to eliminate all the “obstacles” which may interfere with the effects of Skinoren, it is worth using a proven oral anti-acne preparation, such as Nonacne. Its advantages include strong detoxifying, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-seborrheic properties, as well as the presence of skin regenerating ingredients.
Skinoren – price
Skinoren is not the cheapest preparation. One tube of cream or gel weighing 30 g costs about 12 €. For a complete Skinoren treatment, buying one package is certainly not enough. It has to be rubbed in twice a day on the entire skin areas affected by acne lesions or blemishes. Its efficiency is therefore limited. It should also be taken into account that the recommended duration of Skinoren use, to achieve optimal results, is several months.
Skinoren – gel or cream? Which to choose?
Skinoren is available on the market in the form of a cream and a gel, so everyone can adjust the consistency of the preparation to their skin type. Skinoren cream is recommended for people with dry skin. Thanks to the high content of lipid substances in the cream, the preparation “takes care” of the proper skin lubrication. The Skinoren gel, on the other hand, due to its reduced content of lipid substances, will be suitable for people with oily skin, prone to excessive sebum production. It will be well absorbed and will not leave an additional greasy layer on your skin. If you have normal skin that is not prone to dryness and oiliness, you can choose Skinoren Cream or Skinoren Gel according to your preferences.
Skinoren opinions
Most people with acne reach for the Skinoren gel or cream. But does it help everyone and is it fully effective? As already mentioned, much depends on the causes, severity of acne and several other factors. According to most Skinoren reviews, it is moderately effective. It reduces pimples and blackheads, but it does not fight acne completely so that it stops recurring.
Half-success of the treatment may be due to the fact that most people do not approach acne treatment in a comprehensive way – by acting from the inside and outside. To eradicate acne one hundred percent, it is advisable to take an adequate dietary supplement on a regular and long-term basis (the highest rated is Royal Skin 500) and supportively apply a topical preparation, such as the Skinoren discussed above.
